The 8th Annual Progressive Ed Summit is a free teacher’s conference where the education community comes together to consider and share best practices, connect and build relationships, and consider – together –how we can move our schools closer to the ideals of education.
Our goal is to provide workshops that embrace progressive education topics and techniques while providing strategies that practitioners can implement in their classrooms, schools, afterschool programs, or communities. Our keynote speaker for this Summit is David Sobel, author of Place Based Education: Connecting Classrooms and Communities. Our day together will include opportunities for learning, collaborative problem solving, project and curriculum design, network, exploring resources, and more!
If you are interested in sharing your craft, please submit a workshop proposal for consideration. This year, we anticipate more workshops that can be accepted. Workshop proposals will be reviewed by a committee and decisions will be announced by December 8, 2018. Please submit your proposal to Gwendolyn Unoko: gunoko@cityneighbors.org in the form of a word email attachment.
