AFT’s Share My Lesson Resources

During this unprecedented time of the COVID-19 pandemic, and with so many schools closing, we want to make sure you are aware of the professional resources you can access via the AFT Educational Issues Department. Resources include:

AFT Resources on the CoronavirusGet workplace guidance for schools, resources for educators and support staff, and updates for healthcare providers. This area is filled with important, helpful resources, including resources in Spanish.

Share My Lesson’s Remote Learning Community. In this new online community, educators can share lesson plans and collaborate in discussions, as well as access grade-specific, learning-at-home lessons and activities, countless online resources to share with parents (many are free), lesson plans on teaching about coronavirus, and resources for prevention and preparation.

Share My Lesson’s Virtual Conference, March 24-26Access 42 free preK-12 professional development webinars from the comfort and safety of your home. Sessions are being revamped to accommodate the shift to online teaching and learning, and are organized by instructional strategies across the curriculum, social and emotional learning, responding to the coronavirus pandemic, and webinars of interest to all school staff. Register for free.

Requests for First BookDo you need books, school supplies or basic-needs items for kids in need, to support remote learning? Submit your request to First Book so the organization can help support you and the kids you serve.

Colorín Colorado: Multilingual Resources Coronavirus Resource for Schools. It’s important that schools share accurate information about coronavirus with all school staff and families, including families of English learners. These resources include many multilingual fact sheets and infographics.
