With virtually no public awareness, the city delegation to the House unanimously approved HB 558, which initially added four elected board members to the nine current appointed members, but was later amended to reduce the number of elected seats from four to two. Full House approval is expected, and chances for passage in the Senate are regarded as better than ever.
