Mr. Kyair Butts–2019 Baltimore City Public School Teacher of the Year

Mr. Kyair Butts, affectionately known as Mr. K by his students, was named the 2019 Baltimore City Public Schools Teacher of the Year. Mr. K was recognized, “for his work with students at Waverly and Calverton Elementary/Middle School, [as well as] with Urban Teachers to educate his peers about how racial justice issues affect the classroom and teaching workforce”.
