Mail-in ballots (mail or hand-in)

  • Mail-in ballots were mailed to members’ home addresses. If a member does not receive their ballot in the mail, makes a mistake on their ballot, or if their ballot is damaged or misplaced, the member should call 800-273-0726 and request a replacement ballot from the election vendor American Arbitration Association.

  • Mail-in ballots are due (received, not postmarked) at the election vendor on Tuesday May 24 by 5:00pm. Members can check if their completed mail-in ballot was received at the election vendor by looking for their employee ID # on the BTU website: https://www.baltimoreteachers.org/mail-in-ballots/

  • Mail-in ballots can be turned in at the 4 in-person voting sites on Wednesday May 25 between 12:00pm and 6:00pm. A member can only turn in their own mail-in ballot. A member cannot turn in other members’ mail-in ballots. Each member must present a picture ID (school ID is acceptable) and be checked in by the election vendor to turn in their mail-in ballot at a voting site.

  • If a member’s mail-in ballot is not received at the election vendor by Tuesday May 24 at 5:00pm, the member can vote in-person at a voting site.
