The new issue of the Baltimore Educator, BTU’s magazine/newsletter, is now available online! All members will also receive a print edition of this issue.
The theme of this issue is “90 Years of Solidarity”. In this issue we take a deeper dive into the history of the Baltimore Teachers Union with the first half of a two-part series chronicling the growth and development of our union. Along with this article, we have an interview with Dr. Lorretta Johnson, who played an instrumental role during much of BTU’s history. Zach Taylor shares a negotiations update for both the teacher and PSRP chapters. The PSRP Update tackles stipends and PDs while “Know Your Contract” breaks down the Right to Representation. And as always we have Member Shout Outs, an events calendar, and a letter from President Brown.
