Much-needed laptop computers appear to be heading to students in Baltimore City after the City Council committed to spending $3 million on school technology.The Baltimore Teachers Union is among dozens of groups pressing the City Council to take immediate action.
“Even if folks have a laptop in their household, that laptop has to be shared with parents that are working. With multiple city students who are supposed to be attending classes, it just doesn’t work for everybody,” said Corey Gaber, with the Baltimore Teachers Union.
