May Day is celebrated annually on May 1st. May Day is an international celebration of workers’ rights. BTU believes that May Day has been undercelebrated in the United States and we are looking forward to being a part of amping up the celebration starting this year.
This year the BTU will be celebrating May Day with a rally on May 1, 2025 from 3:30pm-5:00pm at the BTU Office (5800 Metro Drive). It will be a great afternoon of solidarity and community! Workers will make signs, rally, and show our strength with a short march from the BTU Office to Northern Parkway (about 100ft) for a demonstration. Members should wear their BTU swag!
After the BTU rally, we will have two school buses to take attendees down to McKeldin Plaza to join the Stop the Billionaire Takeover National Day of Protest at 5:30pm. The buses will bring attendees back to the BTU at the end of the event. You can mark on the RSVP if you’re interested in taking the bus with us!
RSVP here and bring five co-workers! This event is open to families and friends of the BTU and workers throughout Baltimore. This is a rain or shine event!
